New Farm Park is 20 minute walk from the hotel on the banks of the Brisbane River. New Farm Park is reported to have up to 17,000 visitors to the park each week during the Brisbane summer. The park does offer some great walking, jogging tracks, ferry terminal, barbeques.

Nestled on the edge of Newfarm Park is The Powerhouse, the powerhouse has an excellent restaurant and is used for live theatre and exhibitions. New Farm park does offer Jan Powers Farms Markets every 2 and 4th Saturday per month. These markets are must see offering a fantastic selection of gourmet food.

James Street

James Street is 10 minute walk from the hotel and is the place to be seen with the locals offering some trendy dining experience to a little bit of retail therapy at some leading retail outlets, Sass and Bide, Camilla, Gary Castles Sydney, Lorna Jayne, Dirtbox to the Palace Cinemas to watch the latest art house movie or a couple drinks at the popular bars and restaurants.

Story Bridge Adventure Climb

The Story Bridge is a cantilever bridge spanning the Brisbane River.  You can walk across the bridge from Fortitude Valley to Kangaroo Point or you may choose to do the infamous Bridge climb.  Tours are available both day and night and bookings are absolutely essential.
